Privacy policy

Updated:

This policy explains what data Sportik collects, why, who we share it with and how to delete it. We tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

Sportik is a Telegram Mini App for personal trainers. By using it, you agree to what is described below.

What we receive about you

Sportik runs through Telegram, so there is no separate sign-up, password or email confirmation. When you open the bot, Telegram passes us a basic profile.

  • Your Telegram ID, the first and last name on your profile, and your username if you have one.
  • Your profile photo — we store a copy so the app does not have to fetch it from Telegram every time.
  • Your Telegram interface language and Telegram Premium flag, which arrive with the profile.
  • Whatever you fill in yourself: the name your clients will see, a short bio, and roughly how many clients you have.

Your clients' data

This is the most important part of this document. When you add a client, you are entering another person's personal data: their name and, optionally, a phone number. Workout history, memberships and payment status are then attached to it.

For that data, you are the one deciding why and how it is processed. Sportik acts as the technical processor: we store and process it on your instruction and never use it for our own purposes.

It also means that obtaining your client's consent to enter their data into Sportik is your responsibility, not ours. In practice: tell your client that you keep workout records in an app.

If a client has linked their own Telegram to your record, we additionally store their Telegram profile the same way we store yours — so we can send them reports and reminders.

What we store about workouts and payments

Everything you create in the app is stored under your account. Money deserves a separate note: a membership price is simply a number you enter for your own bookkeeping. Sportik does not take payments, has no access to your bank accounts and never handles card details.

  • Sessions: start and end time, duration, status.
  • Workout entries: the free-text exercises you type during a session.
  • Workout templates and exercise blocks you create.
  • Memberships: session count, validity period, price, payment status, and the history of deductions and returns.

Why we process it

The only reason is to make the app work: to show your clients, run sessions, count membership balances and deliver reports. Server logs are used to find bugs and to protect the service from abuse.

We do not sell data, do not pass it to advertising networks, and do not use it for profiling or advertising of any kind.

Who we share it with

We rely on a few providers without which the service would not run. Each receives only what its part of the job requires.

  • Telegram — authentication and delivery of messages and reports. Your use of Telegram is governed by its own privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — website hosting and file storage (profile photos).
  • Our database and server provider, which holds the app's core data.

Where data is stored

The main database is hosted on servers in the European Union. Files are kept in Cloudflare object storage. Messages travel through Telegram's infrastructure.

How long we keep it

For as long as you use Sportik — long enough for your workout and membership history to stay complete.

Deleted records (a client, a membership, a session) are first marked as deleted and disappear from the app, then removed from the database for good. This is deliberate, so an accidental deletion can be undone.

Your rights

To exercise any of these, write to us — contacts are at the bottom of the page. We reply within 30 days.

If you are a trainer's client and want your data removed, the fastest route is your trainer: they decide what happens to their client list. You are welcome to write to us as well.

  • Get a copy of your data.
  • Correct inaccurate data — most fields are editable right in the app.
  • Delete your account together with all data, including clients, sessions and memberships.
  • Withdraw consent and stop using the service at any time.

Security

Data travels over an encrypted connection. Database access is restricted, and the app enforces strict separation: a trainer sees only their own clients and their own sessions.

Perfect security does not exist and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you.

Children

Sportik is intended for adults. If you work with clients who are minors, their data may only be entered with the consent of a parent or guardian — and responsibility for that consent is yours.

Changes to this policy

If we change something substantial, we will update the date at the top of this page and post a notice in the bot. Continuing to use Sportik after that means you accept the new version.
